So the ASPECT criteria I used on this was first and foremost the authority aspect that comes from .edu sites. This is a book written by and for academic research. The second aspect would be timliness it was republished in may 28th 2013.
"Censorship." Censorship. N.p., n.d. Web. 09 June 2013. <http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/judaica/ejud_0002_0004_0_04100.html>.
I found this second source by searching >org cites only on the open web. I had 281,000 results but didn't need them this was a source that is done through Encyclopaedia
Judaica. © 2008 The Gale Group. Which is a very respected academic search base that the second part of aspect used was again timeliness considering this issue has been going on for over two thousand years a paper written in 2008 is definitely timely in comoarison with subject...
Religious Freedom in Focus, Volume 21." Religious Freedom in Focus, Volume 21. N.p., n.d. Web. 09 June 2013. <http://www.justice.gov/crt/spec_topics/religiousdiscrimination/newsletter/focus_21.htm>.
The next website was from the dept. of justice and centered more around any censorship of varying religions. The aspect criteria would be the dept of justice as a government source. The timeliness criteria once again show that this is still an issue today whether it is Jewish, Christian, or Islamic we all have to stand guard on our religious rights less we lose them.
"Home Page." Jewish Censorship For A Brave New World. N.p., n.d. Web. 10 June 2013. <http://www.realjewnews.com/?p=505>.
So this site i can't say any ASPECT criteria fits it. I was told we are not allowed to cite .com cites because they are pay sites that always are biased is this false? I mean should i try to find an unbiased .com that fits aspect criteria i think it woulb be a long search...
So this exercise has once again shown me the deepening knowledge and use of the inetrnet and search bars . No longer will google's first page answers daunt me. I will go into advanced serachs and use * and or "" for all of these tools are of spectacular use!!
I really enjoyed this class as we wrap up for the year. I would jsut like to say i have learned many new tricks that shall be of much use in my college career...
Hi, Donald:
ReplyDeleteI think there are some credible .com sites but it can be difficult to determine ASPECT for them. You could certainly use a biased source as long as your note that and include that in your analysis. This was another way to limit your search results and give you tools to evaluate what you find on the web, remember be a critical consumer! Thanks for your report.
Cheers,
Andrea
